Bud Force : co director / producer & director of photography for the feature film “Cowboys: A Documentary Portrait,” produced by 1922 films in association with ultralite films.
“Cowboys” is a feature-length documentary film that offers the opportunity to ride alongside modern working cowboys on some of America's largest and most remote cattle ranches. Co directed by Bud Force, the movie documents the lives of the men and women working on "big outfit" cattle ranches - some of which are over one million acres - and still require a crew of horseback workers to tend large herds of cattle.
“Cowboys” was produced by 1922 Films, which was founded by Force and John Lanqmore with creative producer Felicitas Funke, and the film was edited by Emmy-award winning editor Lucas J. Harger.
Narrated through first-hand accounts from the cowboys themselves, the story is steeped in authenticity and explores the rewards and hardships of a celebrated but misunderstood way of life and the challenges that lie ahead for the cowboys and ranches critical to providing the world's supply of beef.
Filmed on locations across the American West, COWBOYS features historic ranches in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada. www.thecowboymovie.com
